Dear Smiling ( Man, wish you had a regular name-smile-haha)

Thanks: Helpful, yet, what I am struggling through ( while trying to use the software for study) are the actual steps for setting up what I want and keeping the panes where I want them or, have them refresh with new materials -where I want them-smile.

I have other, excellent software on my Mac, and am very familiar with it, so can bounce over and do work there, so, I am not where I can't function. just get frustrated a bit when I get stuck or, when it gets stuck.

I have and do, own a lot of good software, will have to say this software is probably the least intuitive and thus does indeed have a steep learning curve.

The plus side of that statement is I can see where it is very fluid in being able to set up different types of workflows for different things, one can pretty well "customize" for about as many ideas as they can come up with.

This feature may be something I can appreciate more later on, but for now, just want to have a smooth, functional, clean workflow- will get there I think.

Btw, read your notes on Ephesians- nice work, liked the way you expressed difference between Guilt and actions/events.

    Blessings,

Logos 4 has lots of flexibility for opening and arranging resources for use.  For example, right clicked on Library icon, clicked "Open in a floating window", then clicked Tools, followed by right click on Collections, clicked "Open in a floating window".  Arranged floating windows so could drag tab from one window to another (combining Library and Collections).  Once have resources arranged as desired, can click Layouts, then click pencil to name layout.  Thankful Logos 4 sync's named layouts between Logos 4 installations, including Mac and PC (have created many layouts on one platform then used on the other).

Entered close all command, then dragged command to create a shortcut.  One click (or use keyboard shortcut on Mac: Option + CMD + W) closes all resources and panels, then can start opening resource(s).  Thankful can drag favorite resources to create shortcuts, with right click option to open in a new tab or window.

Copied couple paragraphs from Louw-Nida lexicon 40.8 entry => logosres:louwnida;ref=LouwNida.40.8 (also included link in Personal Book).

    Hi Rusty,

I do not fully understand your question and it has been a long time since I have done those videos. FYI, I no longer need to use an emulator as the L4 Mac runs really well on my computer. I will review  those videos and see if I cannot answer your question, otherwise show me a screenshot of what you are referring to as parallel guides.

Hi John: I should have said Text Comparison.

I am watching more of the videos as I can.

Smile- I have to actually "do work" with this and other software so cannot spend all the time I guess one needs to in order to learn this particular software, yet, am getting there a bit more each day.

Thanks so much for your help.

My comment about your video was simply concerning some things you had set up in your guides that was interesting, but I did not see quite "how" to do it, going to re-visit there as well.

    Again, thanks to all.
