New prob where when read a book - switches to fav bible version
I just found another early design issue though - when I read my ebook - which I finally found thanks to the ebook filter - if I tap the screen wrongly - it seems to switch to showing my favourite bible version (ESV) and Gen 1 which is obviously also in Vyrso along the other logos books and I have to exit that and find my book again -
it does not book mark so well and gets lost and I have to go and find my page again once I close the bible
so all in all - a beta version I guess
looking forward to the first service pack update

I am seeing this as well. If I tap on the window in a way that should normally open the pane at the bottom showing Library, Search, Read, etc icons I get a different book displayed. I am reading "Suffering and the Goodness of God" and when I click in this way I get the Quran shown! At the top of the screen it still refers to the Suffering book - see screenshot for details
I see the same behaviour in the Logos app and it is not restricted to Vyrso books - I get the same with Logos books.

Are you talking Logos on Android? It has its problems but I could not replicate this in bible, dictionary or non-fiction Logos book.

I do recall seeing something similar in the last week or so, but it doesn't look like the issue got reported and I'm no longer able to reproduce it. Would either of you be able to post the logs from your device to this thread so I can pass them on to the developers?
Also, are there more specifics to where/when this occurs? Is it only specific books that have the issue or a specific order of operations? Or does it seem to be pervasive?

Happy to post logs but afraid I don't know how to - from iPad - please advise.
I have been using the iPad app quite extensively today and it seems to be happening all of the time.
Currently I have the NRSV open in normal reading mode at Jeremiah 36. If I press the screen (to get the action and icons bars displayed) it suddenly shows the text of John 3 on the screen. It's as though there is an "underlay" of information from when I was reading the John 3 passage earlier and it appears under these conditions.
Pressing the screen again gets me back to Jeremiah.

That does help and is consistent with what I saw previously.
To post logs: in the app go to More>About
On the About screen there is a 'Send Support Info' link which will allow you to e-mail your logs to yourself so you can post them here (that's the easiest way for me to keep track of them.) [:)] Thank you very much, sir!

I am experiencing the same thing as the other users. In the below screen shot, you can see that although I am in the ESV, when I move to show the "action and icon bars", A Vryso book pops up. I have had this go the other way around as well (I'm in a Vyrso book and the ESV pops up).
[EDIT: This was in the Logos app, but the same thing happens in both apps]

We saw this a couple times during development of 1.8.0, but we were unable to reproduce it consistently and none of our beta testers reported it. It's basically a problem with part of the screen not redrawing, even when we tell it to. If anyone is able to provide us with some sort of pattern for when it happens, it would help us determine the underlying issue. Did anyone notice it happen in any of the 1.7.x releases?

Doing a "hard" shut down of the app seems to help. When the issue begins, nothing else seems to work. This has happened at least 3 times.
If anyone is able to provide us with some sort of pattern for when it happens, it would help us determine the underlying issue.
I did a "hard" shut down and tried to reproduce it to no avail. I will try to be more observant when I encounter it again.

I'm experiencing this as well on the iPad. For me, it is the last resource and page I used (before exiting the app) that comes up when I tap the screen in the resource I'm using currently. It even occurs if the resource used last is the same one I'm using currently. Tapping the screen causes it to go away (until I tap again)

Today this problem seems to have disappeared on my iPad, both in Vyrso and the Logos app.
I'll keep an eye on it and see if it comes back!
