Can NOT download the BETA version

I have tried IE8 and Firefox to download the BETA version that is free right now, but no dice.
Neither browser will download the file.
In iE8 I just get a blank screen when I click on the DOWNLOAD button.
In Firefox I get an 8.5 KB size file, which, of course, does nothing.

Can someone please help me to download this program???

I cannot help but I can sympathize because I have the same problem.

Someone more technical may be able to help more, but my first thought is that you don't have the .NET framework installed. What version of Windows are you running?

That 8.5 kb file is the installer. It's named strangely, but it runs. I downloaded it in Firefox, and then ran it, and it installed Proclaim.

The extension is ".application". It's a "Clickonce Deployment Manifest". Clickonce is a feature of .NET. I don't what you would do if it doesn't work.

OK...I now see the extension name as application.
But I am running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with all the updates, including .NET.
I have turned on my laptop which is running WinXP Pro,
and it is downloading and installing the program just fine.
So it must be a problem with the compatibility with Win7 x64.
I am going to check on google about this.

When I use another browser other than IE, I get a dialog box that pops up asking if I want to open, save, or cancel. When I choose save, it saves the 8.5 KB file to my computer.
Then when I attempt to double click on that file, once it is saved, it does NOTHING !!!
Yet on my old laptop that is running WinXP SP2, it works perfectly in IE.
It just doesn't work for me on Win7 Ultimate x64.

I don't beleive that this is a Windows 7 x64 issue directly. I am running Proclaim on that exact operating system and it runs fine.

Navigate to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files (note that the AppData folder is hidden) and find the System_Deployment_Log_proc..tion_[numbers].log files and attach them to this thread.

I navigated to the folder, but I have NOTHING in there with the name that you suggested.
And that is because it NEVER tried to install the Proclaim software.
I could NOT get the .application file to do anything when I double clicked on it.

I had to uninstall .NET Framework Extended and then .NET Framework Client in that order.
When I rebooted, I clicked on the Proclaim.application file and voila, it installed the Proclaim software.
I am now updating my computer to the .NET Framework 4 version.

I said that yesterday I had solved the problem with my computer running Win7 x64 not being able to install Proclaim. I said that I had to uninstall NET Framework 4 to get it to install Proclaim.
Now I have another problem today. I couldn't get the redistributable NET Framework to install, so I did the Windows Update and it installed the NET Framework Client Profile on my system. It seemed to work find yesterday after I did that, but after installing some other updates to NET Framework 4, now the Proclaim software will NOT even run on my computer anymore.
I click on the icon on the desktop and nothing happens. I am beginning to think that the Proclaim software does NOT like NET Framework 4 at all.
If it is going to have this kind of problems, I am beginning to think that it is not worth all the hassle and trouble.
I will probably just uninstall it, as I am NOT able to get it to run.
Too bad, because it looked very promising.

What's the scoop on the problems with Proclaim???
Are we going to be able to use it or not???
It looks like there are a lot of bugs yet to work out on the software.

I would also like to make some suggestions on Proclaim:
1- Make it where it can be used offline - Not everybody will have internet access
  2- Be able to create the slides offline without having to upload everything first -
       Not everyone will want to upload videos, graphics, music, etc. to a server,
       but would rather be able to just insert them right into the program on the computer
3- Make it compatible with NET Framework 4 and its new updates -
       a. Make it as an .exe file instead of a ClickOnce Application
       b. Make it NOT dependent on NET Framework at all
4- Reduce the price of the software, especially for smaller churches -
       a. If a church has under 100 in attendance, make the cost neglible (say around $25)
       b. Personally I do NOT like the monthly or yearly fee price structure -
           I like being able to buy a piece of software, and then it's mine forever

Those are some of my thoughts on the software.
I do hope they will be considered and implemented.
Otherwise, I cam going to skip using this piece of software,
mainly because I can NOT get it to run under NET Framework 4.

I had the same problem of IE9 giving a completely blank screen from the proclaim download link. A few minutes later, IE and some other apps hung, and then Windows blue-screened. (That's IE 9.0.8112.16421 update 9.0.3 KB2586448, on Win 7 Ultimate SP1, 64-bit.)

Ran the .NET verifier (linked above). It confirmed all my .NET installations were fine (4 full, 4 client, 3.5 SP1, 3.0 SP1, and 2.0 SP2).

Firefox downloaded the .application okay, and running it completed the installation successfully.

I have modified my security settings prevent IE installing stuff. Wondering if that could that be a factor?

OK...did some digging on my computer by doing a search for "Proclaim." Found the "Proclaim.exe" file buried deep in several subdirectories. When I launched the exe file, the program worked.
Apparently the ClickOnce icon that was on my desktop would not work with NET Framework 4, but the "Proclaim.exe" did work. So I now have a shortcut to the exe file on my desktop.
Strange behavior, to say the least.

I have tried this program, and am NOT satisfied with it, so I have uninstalled it.
1- It will NOT bring my powerpoint presentations into it to be used.
2- It is slow when trying to bring in something new to it.
3- It does NOT work very well without an internet connection, which we do NOT have at our church.

I am going to do some research, but I think some other church worship presentation software will give me what I need for our church.
