can't connect to libronix.net with IE

Libronix.net works in firefox and chrome but can't connect in IE which means I can't activate my reinstall ebible Platinum. or any other ebible tiltes I have.

I hope that properly addresses the issue for you. If not, get back with us.

My personal fix is just not use IE9 Microsoft frequently releases "not-ready-for-prime-time" software updates.

all myy stuff is Libronix 2.1 and update installed 3.0g I also installed 4 but is install by itself so I have 2 version libronix 3.0e and logos 4.

I don't know how to install 4 with ebible stuff.

If use same Logos.com account for Libronix 3 and Logos 4, then syncing Libronix 3 licenses updates resource licenses for Logos 4 (then can download resources in Logos 4 for use; however, Logos 4 does not have eBible home page).

If using different Logos.com accounts, suggest contacting Logos to merge licenses into one account => http://www.logos.com/about/contact

Logos 4 all it does is list books to buy. It one big sell pitch from what is see. The books I own are only showed next to the search bar. I want a home page where i can search the bible and read book. No have to scroll through buy this and that to see a book I own.

This is a very popular question.

Not only does Logos has to pay the publisher a royalties to the publisher, Logos also has to convert the book into Logos' format AND pay for the development on L4 for windows, mac, and for all the other platforms that you can access your data.

While Logos claims that they give away the L4 engine for free, we all know that this is B.S. We pay for the L4 engine via the resources that we buy. Thus, the prices for Logos' items are going to be higher.

For the Kindle version, you must first purchase a Kindle to read the book.

Randall - I agree that the Amplified Bible is overpriced, especially when you consider that you can get the entire NAS library cheaper. With that said, here are some things to consider:

When you purchase a Logos resource, you are paying for a license. Part of that goes to Logos, part of it goes to the publisher (who pays the author, editor, etc).
When you purchase a Kindle book, you are purchasing a resource that has had very little done to it from the publisher. When you purchase a Logos resource, there has been considerable time and energy put into it (tagging, etc.) An analogy is this: When you go to different grocery stores, you want to see a loaf of wonder bread the same price, otherwise you will buy it where it is cheaper. This is similar to the argument you are using. I would argue that a better analogy is this: Which should be cheaper? Flour or fresh artisan sourdough made from that flour? The baker deserves to be paid and so does Logos!
An electronic resource is worth every bit as much as a dead tree version. In my opinion, it is worth more. If you don't think so, why do you want a copy when you already have one!
You can call Logos to see if you can get the Amplified Bible cheaper. They may be able to work with you.

You don't own the books in Libronix and it takes a lot of work from both parties to convert then to your system. The kindler believe it or not you don't own the book either as they can revoke use anytime without reason.

This is why I believe ebook market is a scam for most part. Yes to make a book in to a ebook is hard work but once it is made into a file it cost almost nothing to resale over and over again. Maybe the Internet connection and server needed cost $$.

You can download a Kindler mac or PC appe for free also so kindler doesn't need to be brought. I have the PC app.

You can not search the entire text of your hardback copy in mere seconds like Logos 4 can. Your Kindle copy can not be indexed to 10,000 other resources in a search. Neither your Kindle copy nor your hardback copy can be synchronized with several devices at once. Seems we are comparing apples to oranges. or Chevettes to Ferraris.

Could it be Nelson's pricing model was not sustainable? In corporate America it is common to purchase support contracts for software. If Logos would charge for Technical Support and the other perks we get for free, then maybe prices could drop. But for now someone has to pay the hardworking employees. Another thing to consider is if Logos (the best Bible study library available) matches prices with plain text eBooks, PDF, and vastly inferior Bible software, everybody else would go out of business. [:D] So you might call Logos' pricing an act of charity leveling, the playing field. (Don't golfers do that with "handicaps?")

The cost to produce ~vs~ the selling price have nothing to do with each other in free economies. If you own the mineral rights of your land and happen to discover oil under it, you may get it out of the ground at a high cost (stripper wells) or maybe you have a gusher that practically delivers itself to the surface. Neither situation affects what buyers will pay you That is why thousands of wells in the USA are presently capped.

Thomas Dolby was already a successful musician in the 80's. Then he invented polyphonic ringtones software for cell phones. He gets a royalty on every one downloaded to two-thirds of the world's cell phones. The idea cost him very little to bring to market but the world seems to like his product enough to pay for it.

Not everyone reads eBooks or owns a computer. But there are enough who do to provide the industry with a customer base. Apparently 750,000 people have decided Logos is worth a try. I feel Logos is worth it because it makes Bible study time more productive. At my age time is harder to come by than a few dollars.

If a book cost $50 and the ebook cost the same I don't see the benefit lof buying the ebook. Just saying I am not against Logo making money but why can';t a ebook cost $10 cheaper. This is why music and movie studio don't get it.

People are willing to pay but keeping the price high and calling it support or whatever is kill off customers that would be willing buy. The world would run on MacIntosh but due to the high price people went with the PC.

Randall - If you don't get it, buy something else... But don't come here to complain about it. If you think a dead tree version is a better value, buy it. I will tell you this: all of my seminary textbooks are relatively useless to me, so I am slowly purchasing Logos copies when I can. What good does it do me if the info I need is in five of those books, but I don't know which ones or where? Likewise, I could buy a kindle version, but I still have no organized way to Search my library.

I would rather pay $60 for a $50 book which allows me to copy, paste, highlight, take notes, and search. And remember, you can search not only the book, but your library as well. I frequently find things in books I didn't know about. You can't do that with kindle or dead tree resources.

Finally, (and I feel like I am beating a dead horse), but you are paying the publisher AND logos. Logos deserves to get paid too. People in Bellingham need to eat too.

Observation: many Logos 4 users are buying Mac computers (like many in world). Apple now has price competitive models: iPad's, iPhone's, iPod's, MacBook Air's, 13" MacBook Pro, and 27" iMac. However, Apple still has pricing premium for some models, especially 17" MacBook Pro and Mac Pro.

Here I've been using Libronix for years and works just great.

But every time I buy a book on Logos.com I'm FUNDING L4 [8o|].

That just does NOT seem right. I think that people who continue to use Libronix should get a discount.[:P]

And since not only is Logos4 on Windows, it's on Mac too. That means a DOUBLE discount![:)]

Thankful for community pricing. Thankful for Logos sales (although wallet becoming smaller).

Thankful for Logos bundles; Pastor Appreciation Month has one bundle with 87 % discount.
