Streamlining Logos 4, reduicng footprint on PC

I'm currently in the middle of crossgrading from Logos 3 to Logos 4. The status window indicates that Logos is downloading 5.45 GB.

Since this is a significant portion of my hard drive space, and upgrading to a new hard-drive is not an option, can I streamline the resources?

That is, can I set up Logos to take up less space?

Should I delete Logos 3 to recover space tkaen up by those resources?

Any other tips?

I am running Windows XP on an IBM Thinkpad Z60M.

I have Logos 3 Gold Edition, SESB, and the journal libraries (through 2009, I believe).

Note: after downloading 5.45 GB of resources, guessing local indexing will use ~ 4 GB to create ~ 3 GB of Logos 4 indexing. Once indexes merged, temporary files are deleted.

By default, Logos 4 scans Libronix 3 installation and copies usable resources files to your Logos 4 folder, then downloads resources. Many libronix resources have been updated for Logos 4.

Looking at http://www.logos.com/support/techfaq noted IBM Thinkpad Z60M is above minimum hardware, but below recommended; has potential to wait for various items in Logos 4. Wiki => Getting Started with Logos has many Tips.

If you're referring to SESB4, no. Latest copyright date on SESB resources is 2006. On that resource (LXX) file date in the L4 information window is 2009-10-28 if that speaks to your question.

There is certainly a bit of inclarity here, as in the German-language SESB forum people claim to have received notice that SESB 4 won't be released as announced - the German Bible Society has not commented on that and their official SESB product website does not refer to SESB 4 at all.

I have ordered an upgrade DVD from a well-know internet bookseller, but I wouldn't bet on receiving it this year.
