Signals

We tested Signals church-wide in our service yesterday. Got some great feedback. However, the biggest negative feedback was that there was no support for NIV or The Message in the Logos app. Is that true? I know that in Proclaim, I can present in those versions, but the congregation was not able to follow along in their app in the same version we were using.

What would cause this? I'm hoping it's not because they would need to purchase it. YouVersion's mobile app is free, and I really doubt people will pay for all those version to use them in the Logos app.

I haven't been able to "receive" the signal on my iPhone. Is there something I'm missing. I have added the signal on a slide and am running the presentation. Do we have to be "on-air"?

UPDATE: Got the signal running. It seems to want to send in Message even though the signal was NLT and that is the bible I had open in the iPhone app.

The NIV is not currently
available for iPhone or other mobile access. While the vast majority of your
Library is accessible from the Logos iPhone app, there are some resources that
the original publisher has restricted us from making available on mobile devices.

Proclaim is considered Desktop software so it does not carry that restriction.

For the congregation to use the signal Proclaim must be On-Air, set to the current location and the congregation should be using the Logos iOS app (Android support for signals will be coming soon).

In the Logos app, setting More > Settings > Proclaim Presentations to ON will allow the users to follow the Signals.

Is this a permanent issue? Is Logos in talks with Zondervan to make this accessible?

Yes, this is intended behavior. The Logos app will use that users preferred bible (in the app) for Bible Reference signals. To direct the congregation to a specific book you should use the Logos 4 Reference signal type.

Yes, we are currently engaged in negotiation with Zondervan on this issue. I do not have any kind of ETA for the resolution however.
