performance!!

We have been testing proclaim for a while and we are running into the problem of VERY POOR performance, which is making all of our volunteers want to throw in the towel. I have resorted to have transitions off and no motion backgrounds to see if that helps, and sadly it does not:(

You never know how long it will take for a slide to change, it is anywhere from 1 to more than 10sec, running it only from the computer. It is very frustrating and is an issue that need to be fixed if we are going to be able to considering purchasing proclaim.

I would be curious to know the specs of the Mac you are running Proclaim on. If you could, press the apple symbol on the Menu Bar then select About this Mac.

Proclaim is still a little pokey overall, but it looks like you might have a bottleneck on your system in the RAM department. Our church has had good luck so far upgrading a couple MacBook Pros to 8GB of RAM for less than $60 using this deal. Mac is RAM intensive in general, and Proclaim is RAM intensive in specific, so that would be where I would start. (Also, make sure you don't have a lot of programs running in the background, etc.)

We are still working on optimizations for Proclaims' performance. However, you would be well served by adding more RAM to that machine.

Proclaim and Logos 4 have many of the same dependencies and are fairly graphically intensive, so adding RAM would help the performance of both applications.
