Hi all after 23 hours of updating and indexing now L4 will not even start up. What do I need to do to get it to work? And please do not tell me to reinstall!!! PLEASE!!!!
Describe what happens when you click on the icon to start the program. What happens? Any indication of activity? What does the Activity Monitor show?
If you are referring to the Alpha version of L4 for Mac, It may be better to post in the beta testing forum instead of the forum for version 1.2.2

Yeah I just advised someone else about that. It would help if the Mac Beta forum was visible from the forums front page, instead of being buried under "Logos4"
I agree. It should be on a higher level so people can find it.
Im sorry guys for not giving all the info. I am talking about L4. When I start L4 the progress bar moves but then it gets stuck and does nothing.
Ah, as I said above. If you post this in the L4mac Beta forum, it will probably get a better response. :-)
First, are you using Alpha release 2?
Yes I am using A2 release. And I don't know how to move the post to the other forum. And how do you report bugs or logs so others can see?
This happened to me and I went into the applications and put the logos program in the trash then reinstalled. I didn't have to reload or reindex the 8 gigs of stuff so it shouldn't be that painful. Don't know if it will work for you just know that it did for me.
Chris
Whenever I click on the L4 icon it just says not responding. And then I have to force quit it.
You cant move this thread, but you can start a new one for the actual report. Here are the instructions for bug reports

it still doesn't say how to turn on logging.
From the first line titled, Turn on Logging...
"1) Turn on Logging
Grab the attached nlog.config file and place it in Library/Application Support/Logos4/Logging under your home folder. Rename the file to nlog.config (replacing any existing file).
5670.nlog.config
This will put a couple of files into that directory every time you run the app: Indexer.log and Logos4.log."
Where is turn on logging?
Jerry,
Put the file into the folder.
Rename it just like it says above.
That is all you do
It creates the Logos4.log file.
That is the file you then attach to these reports.
