Can't add more slides to song

This is our second week of trying Proclaim.  I am trying to add a song for this weekend and when I get to the 10th slide of the song, I can't add more than one line of text.  I had a song with 12 slides last week, so I'm assuming there isn't a limitation on the number of slides for one song.  Any idea what is preventing me from being able to finish this song?

Are you using Mac or Windows?

Please paste in they lyrics you are trying and I'll investigate.

Windows version.  I am pasting the lyrics from my original Power Point slides.  I copy text from one slide then paste to Proclaim and repeat the process for each additional slide.  This particular song is Wonderful Maker by Chris Tomlin and Matt Redman.  Let me know if you want me to paste all of the text that I have in to this point.

I should have tried this before posting.  I copied the text from the 10 slides that I had successfully added and pasted into Notepad.  I added the remaining 2 slides in Notepad.  I deleted the song in Proclaim, then added a new song, did a select all from Notepad and pasted successfully into Proclaim.  Only thing I can guess is I might have had some kind of hidden control code that was causing problems pasting additional text.

    It is working now.

Tried this but it didn't work. Is there a maximum number of characters allowed per song? Using a mac.

Hello Jason, and welcome to the forums!

While there might be a technical limit on the number of characters that can be entered into the Lyrics edit box for a Song type of service item, in practical use it should be unlikely that you would ever max it out with even the longest song that may be out there that you would want to present. (Well, assuming you're not trying to create a single Proclaim song item out of something like the libretto from Wagner's entire Ring Cycle. [;)]

Song slides are created in the lyrics content edit area and every time Proclaim encounters a blank line in the song lyrics text, a new slide is generated. You should be able to simply enter a blank line in the edit box and paste in each succeeding verse, chorus, or bridge block of text, followed by another blank line, to add as many slides as you desire.

What were the specific steps you took to add slides to a song that did not work for you? If possible, could you post in this thread and attach a copy of the original format song text you were working with?

    Yours,

    Mark Flory

    Hi Mark,

Thanks for the quick response! I tried it a couple of ways. We currently have the verses in powerpoint slides. I tried copying the text directly from powerpoint to the lyrics section of the "song" content. I was able to add 4 full verses, but it cut the song short after the first line of the 5th verse. I then tried pasting the song into notepad and microsoft word as explained above, but I was only able to get an extra line out of the 5th verse. Here are the lyrics to the song :
