Vyrso not opening

I use Vyrso on an ipod. The app will not open today. It has previously been working well. I deleted and reloaded it. Powered off ipod and rebooted. All other apps are working normally including Logos Bible app.

When I select Vyrso app, I get the welcome screen for about 1 second then the app closes.

Any ideas?

Sue - I don't know what the problem is, but could you try loading the app in offline mode (wifi & 3G off)?

Thanks Alabama. I thought that was a good idea to try but unfortunately it didn't work.

I deleted the app and disconnected the ipod from my computer and took it offline. I then re-downloaded Vyrso to my computer and synced it to the ipod via USB cable.

It still doesn't open and I'm not sure what to do next. I only use Vyrso for some light reading for waiting rooms etc. I can still use the Logos app but am puzzled at the Vyrso problem.

Any other thoughts?

Sue - I am grasping at straws a little bit, but have you done a "hard shut down?" I don't have my iPod near me (and it is an older model) but off the top of my head I think that you hold down both buttons at the same time. It will give you a "are you sure" message, and a slider button. If this doesn't work, you could also try to do a complete reinstall of the iPod.

Out of curiosity: What OS are you running? If you are not up to date, you could try that as well.

What worked was doing a hard shut down by pressing both buttons at once. I had previously turned the top power button off and on - but that alone did not work.

It required the pressing of both buttons simultaneously as you suggested.
