8030.Lesson 11 Freedom in Christ Dec 3 - 9 2011.docx

THE INFORMATION BELOW IS TO BE USED FOR A DESCRIPTION OF THE BOOK WHEN SEEN IN THE LIBRARY OR SELECTING THE INFORMATION ICON.

For those who study the Adult Bible Study Guide by Seventh-day Adventist, or those merely interested, the files for next week is now available. For the source visit www.ssnet.org or http://www.ssnet.org/qrtrly/eng/11d/less10.html for this weeks lesson.

Any suggestions for the improvements of the file are welcome. Credits are at the bottom of the file. I have not received permission to connect the SDABC or the writings of Ellen White for distribution as yet. Waiting for word from the publishers.

Open a new note file, give it the same name as the lesson, and highlight the note number and then tell Logos to add a note to "Freedom in Christ".

For the inside story, I have used the one found in the standard lesson as found here. http://absg.adventist.org/2011/4Q/SE/PDFs/EAQ411PDFs/EAQ411_11.pdf

    Lynden,

You don't need permission to put a link into the book. Linking to a resource doesn't volate copyright. This is no different that citing a source. You are not copying the resource itself, but a link. The user can only access the linked material if they own the resource. If you were to copy the entire book itself this would be an issue, but putting a clickable link to the book in question should not be a problem.

Example: if a student wrote a research paper and created a Personal Book with links to any references, they can share the file with the links. The source link to a quote is under fair use...the books publisher cannot claim copyright violation.

    Blessings,

    Philana

    Thanks Philana.

Your welcome, I know copyright can get confusing. I just keep in mind, putting a link is like putting a footnote in a research or exegesis. You are simply pointing the person who has a resource to the proper location. I posted because with many publishers they can take a long time to get back to you. I've emailed a couple of publishers requesting they allow some resources on the mobile apps, so far only one responded. I am really thankful Logos offers Personal Books.

    In Christ,

    Philana
