We've been using Proclaim (on an iMac) from the beginning, and this past Sunday had our biggest failure. Within one or two slides of the first song the program crashed. Proclaim was restarted, and within a few seconds of going On-Air, crashed again. Several restarts of Proclaim were done, all with the same result. Eventually I had to start up my Mac laptop (running an earlier build), synch the service, and run from there.
Some observations:
- several simple content slides were built/added immediately before the start of the service on the iMac
- the sync warning triangle appeared on the iMac and it was not possible to get it fully synched (green button)
- the start time of the service was incorrectly set (a carry over from a previous meeting) - set for a 6pm start, instead of the real 9am start
- the iMac eventually hung up completely, and had to be restarted
- after all the crashes on the iMac, when synching my laptop, I could get a correct synch (green button), so the internet connection was evidently OK
- the slides added immediately before the service were present when running from the laptop, so they had been uploaded to the network correctly
- even with the incorrect service start time, there were no problems when running off the laptop
- the build on the laptop was 1.00.0.0039
- after the service, we tested the service from the iMac again (understanding there had been a restart in the meantime), and there were no problems - fully synched (green button) and no problems when playing through the complete service.
