Bug: Unable to stop Auto-advance

A recent update has (re-?) introduced a problem with the Auto-Advance feature. (current version in use is 1.00.0.0074)

Having set a 10sec auto advance for the "Pre-service loop", I was surprised this morning that the "warm up" and "Service" sections, which did NOT have auto advance checked, were also auto-advancing with no user action.

In an attempt to remedy this I unchecked auto advance on ALL sections, however this does not help as the entire presentation insists on auto advancing every ten sectonds anyway.... [:(]

Hopefully the cause can be quickly identified and remedied....... [:)]

Hi Scott:

Working with Windows here (Vista 64 bit and Windows 7 64 bit).

Tested an older presentation assembled and used late October and this does NOT have this problem.

I note that in this earlier presentation the auto-advance interval between slides and use of countdown clock options are displayed at the upper left of the slides in the Pre-Service loop, and below the slides at the lower left for the warm up and service sections . In the Problem presentation I put together over the past couple of days, the auto-advance interval and countdown options are displayed below the slides at the lower left for all sections of the presentation, pre-service loop, service etc. This suggests the issue is related to the way these options were handled by whatever version was used during construction of the presentation, rather than how the current version displays the stored data. I probably used build 74 to assemble the problem presentation. Seems this and the current build 77 do not have a way to modify the auto-advance data stored on the server for this presentation. [:(]

The wam-up section will always auto advance, regardless of the auto advance settings on the item. If you want to override the duration you can do so my checking auto advance and specifying a time. The service section should not auto advance, unless you have configured the individual item to do so.

I have tested your new and old presentations and they both appear to be behaving as expected for me. The warm-up items auto advance and the service items do not. You have not have noticed the warm-up items auto advancing on the old presentation as the duration is set to 36s per slide?

Seems this and the current build 77 do not have a way to modify the auto-advance data stored on the server for this presentation.

I don't quite follow what setting you are unable to change. Does my earlier comment about the warm-up always being auto advance clear this up for you?

I flagged the issue because the experience I had with the current presentation was quite different than what I had with earlier presentations. When I was at the church doing a practice run through ON AIR yesterday, and back here on my home computer, things were not running as expected [:O] and were not running as they are now [:$]. The pre-service loop I had expected to auto advance, I had adjusted the interval to increase it. What I experienced yesterday on both systems was that the auto advance marched straight through from the pre-service loop to the warm up to the service section apparently with the same auto advance interval and without the front end loop of the pre-service slides (seeming somewhat as if the whole presentation was auto advancing as if it were all one section). [:$] This is no longer happening. [:D] Everything now seems stable and back to normal, working as expected. [:)]
