How about allowing payment plan on just this one upgrade. I was hoping for this one to have a release date of March or even April, but as it is right now I can't afford the $200 price tag. I have good credit history with Logos...come one, how about it Mr. Bob or Mr. Dan?[:)]

Edit: The blog says the price will increase after pre-pub, with the current price being a "fantastic deal", which I would suppose means at least $50 or 100 savings.

You are right! Some even remain the same price. Plus, why would the upgrade, containing 7 volumes, be more expensive than the original Vol. 1 which contains 8 volumes. Thanks! You just made my day! I hope it remains the same and then I'll jump in as soon as it goes live. Wow! I totally forgot about that one small detail.

Yes, that would be nice too. However, I would much rather use my credit. The "fine print" said that Logos might change their Christmas credit policy and allow us to use it on pre-pubs in the future. How about having that future event happen Feb. 1? That would be fantastic!

I owned the first set, but didn't realize that more volumes were on pre-pub until I read this.
- The website doesn't seem to know I own the first set; it didn't grey out the "buy" button.
- That issue aside, while I've recently railed against all the "sales notices" spam, it would be helpful if Logos had a way to alert users that additional volumes to a formal collection (commentary series, etc) they owned were becoming available. I put most of my braincells on reading resources (and the forum [:O] ), and don't sift through the pre-pubs in comparison to my library...just too much effort.

Ward, do you own the pre ex Baker Commentary Platinum base package? I've notcied nearly any collection included in my original base package or any resource bundle I've purchased fails to show up as purchased through the website. I'm on the brink of creating a wish list of all the resources I own that don't indicate as being owned on the website, naming it "I Already Own These" (then I'll hope Logos doesn't start target marketing through people's wish lists!)

Did you get those volumes are part of the original Platinum Base Package? Baker later had them pulled from the package. That may be why the website does not know you have them.

From talking to folks at Logos this isn't an issue of their willingness... they are willing. It's an issue of reprogramming the system to allow it to work for prepubs, which is handled differently. Apparently some time is needed to accomplish this, and they are working on it... but from what I've heard, its not likely that it will occur soon enough to help us with this particular release.

Yeah, this happens to me too. I upgraded to Platinum before Logos had to take out the Baker content. It was this content that really made the Platinum base package shine!

What!? I didn't realize this was formerly the case; I feel cheated. I upgraded to Platinum mainly for JPS. If I knew that Baker was formerly part of the deal I would have haggled for a better deal. Now I am encouraged to push for reconsideration from sales. Thanks for the info.

Your humor is much appreciated and I stand corrected. It was Pillar and NIGTC. I bought JPS around the same time and this led along with being a bit miffed about this Xmas credit, has me confused. Thanks for setting me straight. BTW, perhaps you can help me further. Is Xmas credit and this banner credit the same thing?

Sort of. But not the way you're thinking of. The 20% discount that had been in place for months (ever since L4 launched if I've understood it correctly) disappeared about 2-3 days before the Baker content was taken out. So not only did new buyers miss out on some of the most valuable content, they also had to pay 25% more than they would have a week earlier.

Well Beloved, I'm not quite sure. I returned a couple of my X-mas purchases, so I literally have no credit, hence, I stopped worrying about how the credit would work and stuff. Sorry I couldn't help, but maybe the others will.

Sorry Joshua G. Platinum's price was not adjusted one bit after the Baker content was removed. Honestly, that was a little bit disappointing, not so much for me because I upgraded to Platinum when the Baker content was still available, but for the others who bought and will buy after me, since they won't have access to such wonderful Baker titles; especially BECNT 8vols.
