To update to Beta 2 when it ships, use the Update Now command if you’ve switched to the beta channel before, or the Set Update Channel to Beta command if you’re on a stable version (such as 4.5 SR-2). To install Beta 2 from scratch, see the notes and download link on this thread.

Doesn't this beta include a fix for this crash too? Bradley said it would be in the "next beta" before Beta 2 was released, but I don't see any mention of this in the release notes. Did it get pushed off to Beta 3?

Is there any word on why highlighting appears not to be syncing at all, and yet I am not getting an error? None of my new highlights sync in either direction.

Please post a Logos4Error.log (and Logos4.log if you have it) from the affected systems so we can analyse the problem. Are you just syncing with Logos 4.5, or are you also trying to sync with iPhone/iPad?

I am trying to sync highlighting across three devices: (1) PC running the latest 4.5 (beta2) ; (2) iPad running the latest iOS version; and (3) iPhone running the latest iOS version. I am just trying to seem how (and if) highlighting syncs across devices. That is because I want to start using my iPad as the main reading device, with highlighting, that I can later use on my PC when I do more sermon prep.

In any event, sync appears to be hit and miss, but better between the iPhone and PC than the iPad (and either other device). I tried to reduce the probability of sync lag by creating a brand new note and testing the highlighting sync with that. I am experiencing a couple of issues:

1. I can't figure out how to force the iOS devices to sync, short of closing the app, force quitting it from the iOS multitasking tray, and then restarting it. And this does not always work. Is there a way to force a sync?

2. I can't get the highlights to sync to my iPad. I now believe I have decent sync between the PC and iPhone devices, but I just can't get the iPad to sync. Is there anything I should do, including deleting the app and reinstalling? I have done hard resets/reboots on all devices.

When it is working properly, you are not supposed to have to force it to sync.

When it is working properly, you are not supposed to have to force it to sync.

Does that mean it syncs instantly, or just "when it wants to"? I ask because normally I would not care if it took a little while, but when I am trying to test it, I need quick syncing.

In summary: Sync is not working right now; it will resume when an app update is released. Uninstalling the app will lose any changes you have made on the iPad and is not recommended.
