ESV Study Bible Bug

Why, when I open the ESV Study Bible through the Passage Guide does it take me to the History of Salvation section at the end of the study bible? If I link it with my text it goes to the right spot, but when I click the passage guide link I get tossed to the end.

Curious about passage verse(s) ?
Would like to try replicating.

Ruth seems to be giving me the greatest difficulty right now... Try Ruth 3

I tried replicating the problem and it seems to work fine for me. Can you post a screen shot?

Hi, Jeremy
Yep, it does the same thing for me, from the Passage Guide. Ruth 3 in the Passage Guide > and click on ESVSB, and it takes me to the ESVSB "History of Salvation" section, with a commentary on Ruth 3.9
But I noticed that once the ESVSB is open, and if I type Ruth 3.8 in the ESVSB window, it takes me back to the running verse commentaries section in the regular text (I verified with my paper copy). And within those commentaries -- in the Logos edition, not the print edition -- there is also the "History of Salvation" commentary on Ruth 3.9. Curious. Somehow the two sets of commentaries -- regular verse commentaries and "History of Salvation" commentaries have become interlinked/merged. It IS a bit annoying... and would be nice to separate them out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, given that your PG is showing 3:1-18 you would expect it to go to the 3:1-18 sidebar or 3:1 commentary (as in the attached screen shot) instead of 3.9, correct?

I don't have this resource to check it out, but the problem Jeremy is experiencing is that the passage guide is taking him to the "History of Salvation section" at the end of the study bible. Looking at the screen shot is a little misleading until you examine it carefully. Notice that the scroll bar is down near the very bottom. You would expect it to be close to the top 1/3 if it were actually in the notes for Ruth. It is also misleading because the "History of Salvation" section has some commentary on Ruth (which is presumably why he was taken there).
Did I get it right?

Opening ESV Study Bible link from a Passage Guide for Ruth 3 OR Ruth 3:1-18 in Commentary section bypasses Old Testament:
