I have created a song with a lot of errors so I made a new song
how do I delete the bad song or other "item" from the "ADD ITEM" list?
If you're referring to the Reuse Items section in the Add Item popup then all you have to do is delete the service item from you presentation. The Reuse Item list is composed of all the non deleted service items from non deleted presentations in your group.
Are you saying delete the device that included the item you want to delete?
But won't that also delete things you want to keep such as songs etc
Are you saying you want to delete the erroneous song from Reuse Items
or from the song database?

No. Reuse Items and the song database are separate. Songs in the song database are keyed by song title. If you have created a song with errors you should be able to fix the errors and the database will update. We don't have support for deleting a title you no longer want, we have a case for this. We will probably add a right click option to remove the item from your song database.
You need to delete the items from the old presentation or delete the presentation itself.
Then how do I delete an old Presentation?
Right click > Delete Presentation
