Preview Bar Slides UNREADABLE

Proclaim's recent MAC update has made our preview bar slides unreadable...doesn't matter how big or small the font is greatly distorted on the computer screen...the display on the projector screen & the current slide view on the Proclaim are both normal...but all the slides on the preview bar are corrupt & unreadable...all chopped up....made it nearly impossible for the person running our slides at church today to look ahead and see which slide was next for the worship songs...

Admittedly we didn't know quite how poor the quality would be when enlarged on Mac. This will be resolved for next week.

I read that post but it doesn't seem to be the same issue.

Proclaim has become all but unusable for us... and I was a relatively early Proclaim adopter...during beta

I've checked this on two other MACs we own and get the same problem...the horizontal browser Preview slides are all garbled and unreadable...both ON THE AIR and off...making it impossible for our tech guys to read the song slides that are coming up. Also when you advance between slides it now wants to jump to the last slide and the next song set in the Preview bar...

Last night's worship service was a near nightmare with this problem and a new twist was Proclaim just quit twice during our worship set...VERY OPEN to other suggestions at this point

if I don't get this fixed ASAP...its we are going to have to go back EasyWorship...OH joy!

We fixed this in build 82. We have an issue with our auto updater for Mac which means you probably didn't get the update, unless you followed the instructions here The auto update bug should be resolved later today.

Also when you advance between slides it now wants to jump to the last slide and the next song set in the Preview bar...

We'll investigate this.

There are a couple known crashes with build 77 so updating may help you. We need the log files from the crashing machine to know for sure.

Mac:

/Users/[username]/(~Library)/Application Support/Proclaim/Logging/
The Library folder might be hidden. If so, hit CMD+Shift+G and enter "~/library" into the box.

We have a fix for this issue in the latest build that greatly enhanced the legibility of the preview slides.

I would be interested in knowing which version of Proclaim you are running.

Select Help > About Proclaim and see if you're running v1.00.0.0082 which is the most recent release.

If you have an earlier version follow the instructions here to update to the most current version. This will not be necessary in the future, but we had a bug with our auto-updater that will be fixed for further updates.

When you say that it is jumping to the last slide, is it skipping slides in a service item? Skipping between service items?

If you hold down the Command key and press an arrow key to advance a slide, Proclaim will skip to the next service item.

yes i'm running 77 I'm downloading 82 to see if the problem is resolved;

didn't realize we weren't getting all the updates...helps to know this is a prob so we can look for it in the future

The skipping I'm referring to is with the Song slides

When the AV tech clicks on the preview bar to advance to the last song verse say "3" the preview bar pushes all the other song slides from "that song" off the screen to the left and positions itself for the next set of song slides...making it difficult without grabbing the slider bar to return to the chorus slide.

This was an early issue we face with the Beta in Nov '11 but until recently worked just fine

Ah, I see what you mean. This is actually the currently-intended behavior. We are looking at ways to keep the currently-focused slide in the middle of the preview window. Keep an eye out for that change in a future update.

In the meantime, your AV tech can hit the "c" key to jump to the chorus, if you've tagged the chorus slide. You should see a small grey C under the chorus slide in the timeline.
