I think I am giving up

I have spent a lot of time on trying to get Logo's started up and I think I am going to give up for now. Very frustrating as I just switched to a mac and it feels like I am working on a very slow PC.

I have run the indexer, entered bug fixes, crashed Logos about 50 times (always having to force it closed), and I am at a loss. I got everything running only to find there is no content and I can't even go in a read the Bible....I just want to look up a passage! biblegateway.com has more functionality.

ipod touch application is great, I love this one.

So my question is: does anyone know when the next scheduled release for the mac is? I think I will stop messing around until then.

Someone just told me the 20th, though it is possible it may be released sooner. You are correct though, it is not even useable enough for testing purposes even.

Do you have the old version 1.2.2? That's probably your best bet for something stable unless you want to run the Windows version. The only problem with 1.2.2 is that if you bought an upgrade to a bigger package when you bought L4, those new resources will not be available to 1.2.2. I have posted about this elsewhere in this forum. Ideally we need an "old style" unlock and download so that we can at least have access to new resources until L4 Mac Alpha is more stable.

Hang in there though. I am a recent Mac convert too.

I feel your pain [:D]. Donovan is right. We all need to take a deep breath and wait for the next Alpha. The original announced plan was for a new release about every two weeks. That would make the next release 11/20. However, the gap between A-1 and A-2 was much less than 2 weeks.

Actually the resources are available in 1.2.2 if you upgraded to a bigger package. All you have to do is put in your old disk, and then have it check for resources, and will give you almost all of the new items. (Many of them are contained on that disk, and will be unlocked once you upgrade to the new package.

I've done it.

Also I agree, the Mac version as of now it unusable. It would have been wise to release the mac and pc version at the same side, instead of doing it they way they did. It seems like a PR nightmare for all the Mac users.
