Is there a way to show the notes in the Preview mode (rather than just the Edit) so that they can be seen while the presentation is on air?
The second revision of the Proclaim Remote will be able to display the notes. There is not a way, currently, to display the notes in Preview mode.
However, while On-Air you can select Edit and view them that way.
Thanks,
That will be helpful, although a presenter should be able to control a presentation from a regular computer as well. I will post something to the uservoice. Thanks.
[A] presenter should be able to control a presentation from a regular computer as well.
This is perfectly possible. If you have access to a computer at the podium then the Presenter can control the presentation and view the notes simultaneously:
I see that now. Thanks. The only thing is you have to go through each item in the order of service and change it to the notes view (from content/lyrics/passage). I was thinking of a "notes" box in the main section of the preview--maybe under or beside "quick screens".
Perhaps I should explain that we don't actually use notes in the traditional sense. We've always used that section of PowerPoint as a place for the creators of the slideshow to leave notes/instructions for the audio/visual techs who run the slideshow. For example, when we project the lyrics to the choir song, we might note that there is a long interlude after a certain verse and they should pause before advancing to the next slide. Or for a congregational song, we might indicate "If time is short, we'll skip verse 3." We still put these instructions in the notes, but we have various techs and it's rather tedious for them to click through and look at the notes for each item in the order of service.
I am new to Proclaim and in order for the presentation to be on the screen I am having to go to full screen which means I cannot see the upcoming presentation on my computer. is there a way around this?
Yes, you'll want to extend your display to your projector rather than mirroring your displays. That way, you could drag your Presentation window to the projector and leave the edit window on the main monitor.
