Insert Scripture slide within song?

Greetings! We're about to make the transition from Powerpoint to Proclaim. I often put scripture slides in the middle of songs, especially if there is an instrumental break. I usually format them differently, using a Serif font instead of sans-serif, and italicized. Is there a way to do this in Proclaim? I know I could make a new custom content slide, but I don't think I can stick that in the middle of a song.

I suppose a possible workaround could be making "Jesus Paid It All Part 1" with the last slides deleted, then scripture/content slide, then "Jesus Paid It All Part 2" but that's more work and I'd have to do that everytime we use it in the future...

There isn't a direct way to insert a separate item in the middle of another one at this time.

One option would be to do as you suggested, which would certainly be more work.

Another option would be to copy and paste your scripture directly into the song, as a separate slide. So,

Verse 1

Lyrics

Verse 2

Lyrics

[Scripture 1]

Scripture Text

Chorus

Lyrics

Would put your scripture directly in the song, but it would share the text formatting of the rest of your lyrics.

Thanks, Hunter. I had thought of doing that too, but I wish they could be formatted differently. A verse looks weird when every line is centered at the top of the screen, looking just like all the other lyrics slides.

I haven't kept up with every thread on this forum, so I apologize if this has already been answered, but is the ability to add these verse slides in the middle of songs, basically the ability to better customize songs, coming in the near future of Proclaim?

We do not have plans to implement such a feature in our next round of improvements (next up we have better PlanningCenter integration). You can post this as a new feature on our Uservoice page: http://proclaim.uservoice.com/

That way we can keep track of these things and track user priority for new features.
