Bug: When reusing custom bible slides

I understand that the preferred workaround for replicating the format of custom bible slides is to duplicate the slide and then reuse.

When duplicating a bible slide (indeed, any content slide), a (2) appears after the slide name as per below,

When I then add the new reference range, the file retains the original (and now incorrect) slide name,

I appreciate that this is possible to rectify this by either removing the (2) before entering the new reference range (the slide is then appropriately renamed) or by manually renaming the slide. Nonetheless, this appears to be an inconsistency in the UI.

In connection with this, I wonder whether there is any value in marking slides as a duplicate (2), (3), etc. Surely the title of the content slide is sufficient in and of itself. Moreover, if I reuse the same bible verse within a single presentation, I do not need to know that this is a duplicate of a passage referred to earlier.

Once again, I appreciate you kind consideration.

God bless,

Andy

Yes, you're quite right Andy. That interaction is a little strange, but our intention was to prevent duplicated slides from being renamed automatically without the users' knowledge.

You should feel free to post your suggestion to our Uservoice page so that we can be sure to keep track of it and our customers' priorities.

    Thanks,

Ah, I see... I didn't realise that this was by design. Thanks for the clarification and the explanation.
