Scripture ref issues
I'm not sure if anyone has this problem but I have books on both Vyrso for Ipad and Logos for IPad. However the Vyrso version does not reference correctly on the initial referencing. If I continue on to open the scripture it opens in the correct place. This is not the case with the Logos version which references and opens in the correct place every time. Any ideas? Paul.

Hi there, thanks for coming back and thank you for the greeting.
Yes the resource and the link is the same on both apps, I have attached a photo to show what I mean. You will see it should open at Mark 2:5 but opens halway through Mark 2:15. If I click on "Jump to reference" it opens in the correct place. This does not occour in the Logos app only the Vyrso one and is consistent on iphone and ipad. This resource is "Christian Theology" by Millard Erickson, but is the same on others I have tried.

Hi Paul
Just to say I don't see this behaviour.
I don't have the resource you mentioned but have tried Vyrso on a couple of others and it works as you would hope and expect.
What version of the Vyrso app do you have?
I have 2.1.0

Hi Graham.
I have the same version as you. I have tried different resources at random and they are all the same, out of sync by around 10 verses. Im wondering if I should delete the app and domwnload it again.

Hi Paul
Deleting and downloading could help (you would lose downloaded resources).
Do you get the same results if you change your preferred Bible?
I'm just wondering if it is an issue with the Bible resource as opposed to the other books.

Graham my friend youve cracked it! I switched from NIV to NRSV and it works perfectly. try the NIV on yours and see if you have the same problem. It could indicate that the NIV version for Logos is different from Vyrso (Which doesnt seem likely) or my download has been corrupted in some way.
Thanks again.
Paul.

I have just tried NIV (84) and NIV (2011) and both work fine

sounds likely - suggest you remove and download again

Paul - I concur with Graham - this is the most likely explanation.

Yes you are both absolutly correct, I have deleted and reloaded the NIV on both ipad and iphone, and it works perfectly now.
Many thanks again to both.
Blessings.
Paul.

You are welcome. As an aside: if you need to provide a screen shot from an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, etc), let me give you some steps:
- Press and hold both buttons simultaneously for a couple of seconds. The screen will flash white & make a shutter sound (if you have the sound up).
- The screen shot will be located in the "Photos" app that comes with your device. It will be at the very bottom (since it is the newest photo).
- If you click on the photo, it will open in single view. There is a button to push to email the photo.
- Email the photo to yourself and you can then open it up on your computer to post in the forums. [:)]

I had the same problem with one of my books linking to the Scripture passage. I alleviated it by simply 'removing' book and then downloading again. If it happens again, this is much easier than deleting the app.

This is what I did Jonathan. I did not remove the app, just the NIV and reloaded it and it's now fine.
