I have noticed that the New Int. Dict. of NT Theo. is classified in the library as TYPE encyclopedia not LEXICON. This seems wrong to me. What do you think?

Thanks for your reply fgh. I knew about the re-org. in this announcement. I just feel that the NIDNTT is really a lexicon it is like a reverse Kittle (full version) where the English word is the Head word instead of the Greek word. It just talks about the words used in the NT in terms of defining them. This is a very narrow focus compared to Anchor etc. that are categorized as Encyclopedia. This classification causes a problem with using Dynamic Rules in Collections. Dynamic Rules are where you use the Logo classifications to group books in mass instead of just selecting individual works and putting them into categories on your own. Dynamic Rules allow your library to grow and you do not have to classify every new book that comes in. Which is really too much work!!!

We're looking into this. It looks to me like we just mis-classified it. The organization by English topic makes it odd as a lexicon, but I think for most purposes within Logos, it is better classified with lexicons.

UPDATE: We've changed the type to lexicon for this and for the New International Dictionary of Old Testament Theology and Exegesis, which had the same problem.
