So, Vyrso books can be read in Logos? Are they tagged like Logos books? If so, why are some books only available through Vyrso, and not listed on the Logos site, like Emmanual Tov's

    Ben,

    • yes, vyrso books can be read in Logos (and vice versa)
    • no, they are not tagged as Logos books. Tagging will be for bible references only - performed in an automated way that sometimes leaves much to be desired. This means, a scholarly work on Vyrso will not reference to other works in your library even though you have them. AFAIK they are all monographs, even if they should be e.g. calendar devotionals or bible commentaries
    • books are either available through the Logos site (older ones through third parties as well) or through Vyrso - it's an exclusive OR.
    • books on the Vyrso site are much more competitively priced (think Kindle edition prices) than those on the Logos site

I personally made it a habit to check Vyrso regularly for new books as well as freebies.

I've bought a couple of semi-academic books from Vyrso, and Mick's description is exactly right. It's handy having them in Logos, and they'll show up in search results as appropriate. But you do miss the tagging (page numbers aren't even included in any of the books I've bought), and I'm personally glad they're kept away from logos.com as I'd be very disappointed if I got a Vyrso-quality book when I was expecting a Logos-quality book. That said, if all you want to do is to be able to read and search, and be able to hover/click on Bible references, then a Vyrso book may be all that you need.
