possible video sightings
I tried to post this on the FaithLife FLSB beta webite etc but no joy.
Question: Promotional video shows individual accessing a video from with in the FLSB while using a handheld device (phone, tablet? etc).
I access this material from Biblia.com or from Logos 4.
Are there as yet any videos? ie was this just promo "hype?
If there are some are they only accessible from a handheld?
I scrolled through a number of passages in FLSB but did not see any "video" clip opportunities notr anyicon ressembling "video."
Thanks

Videos are there. They show up under the library tree. The only way I found a video was by looking through the list and then going to a passage that had one. Philippians has one or two videos. If I remember correctly yep they are layered, meaning had to touch an icon to show the video listing.

yep - they are in a resource called FSB videos - some 36 or so.
For today, you may want to follow this link: logosres:fsbvideos;art=jerusalemgardentombpov - watch the door!

I believe a change is needed in L4 for this to work... it might be in 4.5b.
ups, sorry, I'm using Logos Bible Software 4.5b Beta 5 (4.52.0.1957) on Win 7 - please excuse if this isn't working for you.
The 4.5b release notes from Beta 1 (sooo long ago) say they included initial video support http://wiki.logos.com/Logos_4.5b_Beta_1

Thanks for the link. In my non beta logos 4 I got the old:
"You don't have a license to view this resource, but you could" etc.
I guess beta is the answer?
Thanks all

In which software?
As far as I can tell, The "fsbvideos did not upload to my non beta Logos 4 .
BUT I did receive the (5) "Photos" "Infographics" "devotionals" "study bible" and Lexham dictionary.
Thanks

I do see that now in Biblia but not in Logos.
When I click the text loads but not I get a "spinning wheel" instead of the video.
I think I have found the place in acts where Thessalonicas video was to load. The dictionary loads but not the video.
Thanks folks.
Now, do I dare switch back to beta? Left it do to horrible sync problems.

Seems it will be for Logos 4.
However, biblia (which is a purely cloud-driven thing) will show me the video-links within FSB (e.g. in Phil 1:1 the first picture has a play symbol) - when I follow them it opens the FSB Video resource where I can go through the TOC. Right now I see only a "loading...." message, but biblia doesn't hang, so I'm not sure whether it would play the video for other configurations (I'm on Chrome under Win7 32bit, btw.) or users with a better internet connection.
I guess that the solution for biblia (if one is required) may be a software or server upgrade independent of the L4 version.

Yes that is my exact experience using Chrome -- seeing the symbol -- having it continuing to spin -- but not a "crash" etc.
Perhaps I will try it under IE9 to see the results?
Thanks again
By the way have you had trouble posting on the web FLSB web beta site?
I had tried to start this conversation there rather than here in this forum, but no joy.

I tried Safari and both the 32 bit and 64 bit IE( the later did a little better job displaying infographics).
But none of these others had the Chrome "spinning wheel" to indicate that it should/could load the video graphic. On a mouse over of those symbols there was NO reaction.

Steve,
I see and use the videos on the IPad and the IPhone. They are under the Library section.

Thanks Kenneth:
Now that I have upgraded to beta and the Video Resources have down-loaded I can see them in my Logos 4 Beta.
The spot were they do not appear is in the Biblia.com website. There is a continual "spinning Wheel" rather than the actual video. Another post asks if that is to be expected, ie. part of the beta experiemntal stage?

Steve,
Thanks for your report - I have entered a case and sent it to our Development department.
