Font issues

Why am I unable to adjust font size or properties when I use my own images for backgrounds. This occurs when I use my images as scripture backgrounds or just content slides. I want to be able to highlight the text and bring it forward on the page like I am able to do when I use my own content for a song.

Hello Mark,
When you are customizing your slide are you unable to access to text formatting menu or are you unable to access the customize option when you are editing? Additionally, what format are the files you are using for the background?
Thank you.

I am using jpeg files. The issue is only when I use a scripture slide or a generic content slide. I can change the background but want the abitlity to use the shadow, outer glow and outer stroke options and i only seem to get this when i set up a song.

Yes, this is by design.
Text fields that wrap are much more technically difficult to apply effects to correctly, as well as support larger amounts of text.
We are planning on adding Text Effects to Content and Bible slides in a future update.
Thanks,

We are looking forward to the update that will allow us to add outline and/or shadow effects to text in a Content slide!
