I am attempting to upload half a dozen videos using the Account | Upload Files option and they are not showing up in the library after it completes. The window at the bottom left that shows progress disappears and the videos are not in the library.
Nevermind, I think it's because I chose the loop all files. It seems when to choose loop for a video, it only shows up in the backgrounds for content slides and can't be selected from a video slide.
Now Proclaim crashes when I attemp to upload the same files without the loop all checked. I've attached the log files.
4846.Proclaim.log
1157.ProclaimCrash.txt
8407.ProclaimError.log
OK, this time I did it on a different computer and the files, without the loop all checked and they still didn't show up in the library. I uploaded a single video from the File option in the video item (not from the account menu) and now it taking a video that's wide screen and changing it to match my 4:3 screen settting, which causes the video to look scrunched. It didn't do that before.
Scratch the statement about the 4:3, that was me going crazy and not realizing I had uploaded a 4:3 video [:(]
Ok, now I'm getting a bit frustrated, if I'm honest. I now have managed to upload a couple of videos that we want in the pre-service loop. They are both 15 seconds long, but when I put them in the pre-service loop, they are getting cut off about a second or two short of the end and advancing to the next slide. When those same videos are placed in the service proper, the play to the end.
Douglas,
Thank you for the logs. That'll help us look into your upload issue a lot more quickly this week.
Two things I can note right off:
1. Uploaded items might not appear in your library right away. It may be several minutes before the database on our end finishes refreshing with the new items and then tells the client running on your machine about them. If the download finished, they should show up eventually. This is not very intuitive, I realize.
2. Videos in the preservice loop always run exactly once. They assume that the video starts as soon as the slide is shown (the default behavior) and the slide transitions to the next as soon as the time allotted for the video is finished. If the video is paused or otherwise manipulated while playing, the slide may move too soon. Was there any user interaction with these slides when they stopped too soon?
