Searching Headwords A/O Article Titles

If I remember correctly, in the past searching headwords (like in a dictionary or book of quotes/illustrations) was not possible.  I was wondering if this was still the case.  Also, is it still not possible to search article titles such as in the theological journals?

If it is not possible to search head-words specifically, then what advantage is it to have the "type" (meta-data?) of the resource as encyclopedia?

I've also noticed that many of my resources that should be "type(d)" as encyclopedia still are not.  But, if there is no advantage then I guess it doesn't really matter.

Searching in general still produces entirely too many results to manage, maybe I've missed something.  There is always a good chance I am doing it the hard way.

Thank you much for any response.

(PS: I did try to search for a quick answer... but I guess I can't search "head-word" in the forums... Wink maybe the meta-data still needs some work)

yes headwords work, if resource is compiled as dictionary/encyclopedia

if you are linkin from a note the link to bring it up link would be:
    logosres:RESOURCE_FILENAME;hw=HEADWORD_TO_FIND

You can also search 'Large Text' if your resource has this index. In the screen shot, I am searching ISBE for 'life' and telling it to only look for large text--which will primarily be headings of some kind.

Searching for Logos Controlled Vocabulary (LCV) may be more interesting.

When searching entire library, if word is in LCV, then a Topics section appears for that word with links to articles in a number of encyclopedias.

If a resource is open, can search for headword by using location:
