Personal Books > Build Book > creates erroneous output. BUG UNFIXED again

When the Build Book process encounters a particular type of character string, it incorrectly interprets the string as a bible book abbreviation and gives a bible reference hyperlink where there should not be any and the incorrect text is output.

One example of this follows

his dear Son:”

what is output follows

his dear Song of Solomon

where Song of Solomom is a bible reference hyperlink and it should not be. what should be output is simply the input text - his dear Son:" what appears to trigger this error is the 2 character string :"

A second example follows -

1 Co 15:10 (KJV) "But by the grace of God I am what I am:"

is output as

1 Co 15:10 (KJV) "But by the grace of God I am what I Amos

and AMOS is a bible reference hyperlink.

I have, some time ago, identified this issue in the forums and it has NOT been resolved, as you can see. I hope my explanation is clear to your understanding the problem. I have also seen the 2 character sequence :' cause the same problem. This is a problem I beleive needs to be addressed by those who maintain the Personal Books software. Please help get this error fixed as I have waited a long time for a fix that has not happened. Thanks!

I reposted this in the PC Beta forum, as I assume it is more likely to be picked up by the Logos people looking for software bug reports. I included a sample file and screenshot.

Maybe you want to add something over there, such as a link to where you raised this point for the first time.

Perhaps it is because I am posting bugs in the wrong forum, either General, Logos 4 Windows, or Suggestions that the bug problems are not being addressed. I have been waiting well over a year for this to get fixed.

[I] Wouldn't it make sence for Logos to have a Forum for reporting bugs and errors? To me, a bata forum is for testing new programming, developmental work, etc. Anyway, just a thought.

I am grateful for the assistance and the verification testing you did. Its nice to find a user who has enough interest to help. I've been somewhat frustrated that this has not been taken care of no matter what forum it is posted to when it is tagged as a BUG.

[:(] I had to do a bit of looking before I could find PC Beta at the very bottom of Logos 4 Windows. This is almost as if it were hidden. It should be more prominent (in my opinion).
