select a single word for highlighting

I'm doing my first Precept study in Logos and I'm finding it difficult to select a single word for highlighting.  According to the help I should be able to double click a word to select it.  Instead, this takes me to another resource (key link?).  I can right click but that give me the context menu which is pretty annoying.  I'm hoping for a very quick method to select the word and then highlight it (I already have a shortcut for my highlight so that part of the equation is solved).

Chris - The problem is with the nomenclature. "Select" is being used in different ways. When you right click or double click a word, the word is "selected" and performs certain functions. If you want to "select" a word to highlight, you must click and drag across the word with your mouse.
