I have both the abridged and 12vol showing on my iPad2.
What is the diff between this and the 13 Vol to justify cost?

The 13 volume edition is a revised edition with "60% new content." You will have to decide for yourself wether the cost is justified or not. There is a discount for those who own the old version, but the discount expires on the 25th.
Hmmm...was hoping for some bells & whistles of enticing me to upgrade....or alarm of wisdom to wait.I did receive the upgrade offer that being the catalyst to post about it with 5/25 around the corner.

"Volume 13" isn't the new content, but rather how the volumes break down in print.
If I owned the 12 vol set, I would probably not be considering this offer. Since I don't, I have it in my cart, but my current (un)employment status may change my mind before it ships.
