Deleting Uploaded Files

How do you delete uploaded files? Is there a way to delete several files at once?

I would love to see an answer to this question.
One thing that is frustrating for me is when I open a song there are sometimes 10 or more of the same song! I'm guessing these are possibly songs that were formatted differently? different backgrounds? It would be nice to know which song is the one I'm looking for.
How can we manage (delete) song files, motion backgrounds, etc.?

Are you referring to identical songs in "My Songs" song entry helper results?

Hi, I am also very frustrated with this. Under, my songs, 10 or more of the same song come up. Sometimes it is the same title yet diff. words. I can't delete the wrong songs and leave the right one. What causes this? Re-formatting? New backgrounds?
Sometimes it is a song from proclaims list. I am training another worship leader, and she finds it confusing when choosing the songs. We don't know which one to click on.
Please help. This takes up valuable worship time.
Thank you,
Carol

Carol,
I'm sorry you're having trouble. The latest update to Proclaim—just released this morning—included an option to delete duplicate songs. When you run Proclaim, it will prompt you to update. Once complete, you should see "delete" as an option in the right-click menu.

As Ray mentioned we have added the ability to remove songs from the My Songs database using the context menu. However, there shouldn't be songs with duplicate titles in the first place. Can you give me an example song title so I can investigate further?

Deleting songs is a nice feature in the new version, but is there a way to delete other uploaded files. I export my sermon slides as jpgs from ppt so I am sure they render correctly and I can place them remotely. But now after a year of sermons we have a bunch of images we don't need that clutter up the "reuse" menu, not to mention you have to continue to store them somewhere for me. True file management would be really nice.

Thanks for writing, an example is O Worship The King - Robert Grant (Rex Paul, Torn Veil V.)
Only this one is right.
Thank you

Hi, again, I meant to ask you about the backgrounds. There is little selection, no single crosses and many of them are still Christmas and Thanksgiving backgrounds. Will they be changed or updated?
Thank you

You can use the right click content menu option to remove items from My Content. The won't show up in search results anymore. However, the "reuse items" tool will continue to show service items from all presentations that haven't been deleted. If you want your ppt import slides to not show up there you'll have to either delete the old presentations or those specific items from within them.

I know we've said it before and I'm certain we're testing everyone's patience but improved content management really is coming soon.

We are constantly adding new Smart Media so the selection will improve over time. If there is something specific you can't find then consider a Graceway media subscription which integrates with Proclaim, or you can upload your own custom backgrounds for use in Proclaim.
