Word Definition of that specific verse

My earlier version of Logos (purchased in 2005) had the capability to hover over a word and the word's definition in Vine's would appear for that specific verse where I hovered.

With with my Logos 4, have not been able to enable that same function.  I do see the word's definition in Vine's, but it starts at the beginning of the definition with many listed verses, instead of going directly to the specific verse I am in.

Is there a way to have Logos go directly to the verse where the word is in?

thanks,

Ray

Ray, whilst familiar with Libronix (or L3) I don't recall that facility (assuming we are talking about Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary). The closest you can get with L4 is to click on the Visual filter icon (with three intersecting circles) and select Links to open panels. If the specific verse is quoted in Vine's then it will be highlighted (you may have to scroll within the definition).

Hi Ray - and welcome to the forums.

Steve Clark's response at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/29536/218580.aspx#218580 might give you what you want.

It requires you to have the reverse interlinear information turned on and Strong's Numbers enabled (for details of doing this see http://wiki.logos.com/Reverse-Interlinear$2fInterlinear__Bibles)

Then if you hover over the Strong's number you will get a popup from your most highly prioritised lexicon which matches the word. If Vine's is that lexicon you will get the Vine's information.

    Hope this helps
