Basically, every time that I open the program, it has the default layout settings, and to get to the one that I like I have to load it myself. I would like to not have to do this!

L4 should open in the same layout which it was closed. If you are closing all the windows before you quit L4, it will come up in a default layout. Instead of closing all the windows, quit L4 in the layout you want and it will open to that the next time it opens.
Saving your favorite layouts is not difficult, and opening one of these saved layouts is also very easy. This save you having to re-create your favorite layout each time you want to retrieve it.
It hasn't done this so far! I don't close all of the windows before, but just click the x at the top right to exit the program.
Every time I log in and type in a passage, it has the default layout, and to get my layout I have to go to the layout tab and select my presaved layout.
It's doesn't take that long, but I would much rather have it open automatically.
If you open Logos with the Home Page showing, and start your study from there, you will always get the default layout. If you decide, instead, to start with your last open layout, you will bypass the Home Page and start on your last open layout. To do this, on the Home Page choose Customize at the lower left, then uncheck the box 'Show home page at startup.'
