Media Shout

Exporting from Media Shout 3.x

 

• Click “Shout Singer”.
• Click “File”.
• Click “Export Songs”.
• Click “Shout Singer Text File”.
• Choose a destination folder for the file and name your file.
• Click “Next”, and then “All Songs”.
• Uncheck the "Save as Unicode" box. Import will not work right unless you do this.
• Export/Save the file.
• Make a note of where you saved the file.

 

Exporting from Media Shout 4.x

 

• On the Song Deck, click the arrow next to the search field.
• Click “Export”.
• Click “Song deck text file”.
• Click “Next”.
• Choose Destination file.
• Name your file.
• Click “Next “.
• Click “All Songs”.
• Uncheck the "Save as Unicode" box. Import will not work right unless you do this.
• Export/Save the file.
• Make note of where you saved the file on your computer.

 

Easy Worship

Easy Worship has a proprietary database format and no export feature. There is a third-party tool called Easy Search that adds export functionality to Easy Worship. Note that Easy Search makes one file per song, so you will need to select all the files when you import.

Exporting using Easy Search

The File/Export Songs action exports all the song data from your database in a simple text format.  Each song is exported as a single file in CCLI format - hence allowing it to be imported into other systems.

 

• Click “File/Export Songs”. 
• Select a folder to export the songs to.  The files will all be placed in this folder
• Select whether you want to export all songs in the database, or the songs you have selected in your search (i.e. the songs in the results list).
• You can include the EasyWorship headings (eg Verse 1 etc).  This may be useful for importing to another EasyWorship system but may not be helpful if importing to a different system.
• Click “Save”.
• The folder will contain a file for each selected song from your database.

 

Song Select

songselect.com allows you to download lyrics as a text file. You can select this text file to import.
