I want a Layout as follows:

Let me try to explain; I would like to be able to:

Click on the LN number in Interlinear Pane of the NASB95 (top right window) to open up LN (Volume 1) on the bottom right Window as shown above.
Click on any Greek word in NA27 (top left window) to open up BDAG (bottom left Window)
The BDAG window is in turn linked to LN (Volume 2) to give me all the other LN Numbers for the same Greek word

My Issue: If I work on LN (Volume 1) window or simple click this window to make this the current Window. The next time I double click on a Greek word in NA27 Window, the link will be send here to LN (volume 1) window and it will give me the entry in LN (Volume 2). see screen shot below.

My Question: Is there any way to filter the "send hyperlink here" so that

Greek word will always be send to BDAG (even if this BDAG Tab is behind other Tabs)
LN Number will always be send to LN (I have no problem with this)

I noticed that if I first click on BDAG and make it the current window, then I go double click on greek word in NA27 Windows, then, things work as expected.

I am trying to help someone move to Logos 4, can you imagine the strange look I will get; first make BDAG the current window then go to NA27 double click to get the definition show up in BDAG not in LN :-(

Is there a better way to do this? Thank you for any help.

PS: I have played with Advanced Prioritization ... does not help either.

As far as I can tell this is a limitation in L4. Of course you can right click in NA27 to access BDAG also. One would think that prioritization would override which window has the focus, perhaps someone knows why this doesn't work.

Wonder about double clicking a Greek word to lookup definition in your highest prioritized lexicon with Greek Headword indexing ?

For Louw-Nida, a New Testament resource with appropriate tagging can display Louw-Nida numbers inline so mouse can hover over number for pop-up OR click on number to change Louw-Nida lexicon location.

Personally have "The Lexham Analytical Lexicon to the Greek New Testament" as my highest prioritized Lexicon with Greek Headword indexing so double clicking on a Greek word (e.g. Χαίρετε) changes lexicon location to corresponding lemma (e.g. χαίρω), which can be in a link set with other lexicons (e.g. BDAG and DBL Greek).

Apologies: Logos 4.5c Beta 3 on Mac OS X has a known issue with Link Set letter being behind book cover.

Would setting advanced prioritizing work? I don't really know how to use it. But I remember a video that taught how to do it. So I just tired it out sorta and took a screen shot, though I didn't test it to see if it actually works. Maybe something like this might work though. You can try it. Just go to your library priority section, add the two items you want to be adjusted. Right click as shown below and click the top of the two buttons. You can see that I added two items at the bottom there and changed the "Apply only to" field to what I'm assuming you'd want pretty much.

If you remove the "send hyperlink here" from the Louw-Nida on the bottom right and give it linkset A so that it is linked to the NASB and then go to the library and give the NASB a advanced priority of using the Louw-Nida then I believe it will work as expected. Edit:you don't have to set the advanced priority for it to work properly. What that does is open a language resource rather than a Bible dictionary when you double click in the NASB.

I think I found a solution for the final Layout I wanted, after experimenting and observing the side effects of the internal ordering of Windows Handles. My purpose is to help someone move from physical book to Logos 4. (For myself I would have used right button click Context Menu fly-out to achieve this.)

In the main I wanted both BDAG and Louw-Nida Lexicon Windows to be the target for receiving "Greek" and "LN Numbers" respectively, using the "send hyperlink here" option. That create an ambiguous situation.

The issue: At this point there is no way to filter away "Greek" from being send to LN Lexicon, if the current LN Lexicon Window is on top of the internal Window Handle Queue. Prioritization and Advanced Prioritization does not seem to be respected or relevant here.

First the Screen shot of the final Layout that I actually wanted, followed by some description of how I would use it and how it has been set up (hopefully other folks can benefit and improve on the layout)

I operate this layout primarily from the NASB95 and NA27 Windows for the purpose of getting to the various Lexicons. In this case I use the last "baptize" in vs 11 for illustration.

Click on the word "baptize" in NASB95 Window, so that it appears on that Reverse Interlinear Pane. This give me all the underlining encoding for this word.
Highlight (Mark) the the same word, with sympathatic highlighting the corresponding greek work is identified in NA27
Double click this greek word in NA27, BDAG windows surface to the top (bottom left window) with the BDAG entry (this is the target Window).
Click on the LN Lexicon Tab (next to BDAG), to see all the other LN Senses of this greek word.
Click on the LN number to see the definition of the LN entry. Can also open LN entry from LN Number in the Interlinear Pane of NASB95 Window
In the Information Windows, when I hover to Baptize in NASB95, I get definition of DBL:Greek + other stuffs encoded under Baptize in NASB95 RVI.

What I did different from my original post.

I only have one "send hyperlink here" target for Greek Resource (BDAG) - (I remove LN as a target, thus removing ambiguity)
Since there is only one lexicon that is indexed by LN numbers in my Layout, when I click on a LN number any where (NASB95 interlinear Pane or LN number in LN Lexicon Volume 2) it will be send to the LN Lexicon anyway. (no need to set "Link Set" linking, no need to Prioritize or Advanced Prioritize)
When I click on a greek work anyway (NA27 but, not Harmony resource) it will be send to BDAG
Catch: BDAG and LN Lexicon must be in the same window, different Tab (I supposed it is some thing to do with how Window Handle Queue is handled - just a guess). Specifically, if you place BDAG and LN Lexicon in different Window the issue in the orginal post still exist.

Please consider a filter mechanism for "send hyperlink here" for resources with Multiple Indices. Thank You.

Thanks for your comments. See my other post on possible solution that I found.

By the way I think it is not a good idea to have a Link Set created with Resources using different Indexing scheme, ie. not NASB (bible reference) with LN Lexicon (topic or LN reference), we can get unpredictable results. Why it works for you: I think it is because there is only ONE resource in your layout that is indexed by LN number, so it will be send there anyway (with or without your settings).

Actually, it was playing around with this trying to find out why with your incorrect setting yet LN number got sent correctly to LN Window that help me find my solution - serendipitous discovery [:)]

Unfortunately, it appears that the issue cannot be resolved by Prioritization alone. Logos would need to provide a smilier filtering mechanism for like Advanced "send hyperlink here". I hope folks from Logos see this discussion and consider doing that. See my other post on possible solution for my issue.

Thanks as usual for your thoughtful and smiley comments.

I am setting this up to hand hold someway to transit to using Logos 4, so, I am sensitive to his current physical desktop layout (that he as been using for the last 30+ years - I do not want to disrupt his ministries as he has very busy schedules), and want to have a first layout that he is comfortable with (we are getting there after a few iterations). He got a 14" Dell Laptop and that is his only display and he wanted 2 copies of Synopsis of the 4 Gospels (one in English on in Greek - that is what he has today physically), so I have a fair bit of constraints. Right mouse click is definitely something that I would like him to get into, but, based on my assessment, that is for step 2. I think he is comfortable with single click or double click at this point.

For mouse hover over, it is OK if the pop up can hold a meaningful amount of text from his point of view, so I find that ultimately he would need to open up the resources anyway. I will rather have a Layout with those resources Open in predefined location. Context Menu flyout would open Resource in a Window that Logos or probably Microsoft decide (which often is not the best window for a custom Layout).

For the start, I try to minimize multisteps: eg. right button click, select the type of reference on the right side of the pop up, then chose a function on the left, then open the resource or report. We are all so used to it, but. for some one new, needs some run in time :-)

See my other post on possible solution ... see if you have any other valuable suggestions, so that I canhave a working environment for studying NT Gospels for this gentleman. Thanks.

What do you mean by window? Like they both have to be together, as in the lower left hand corner or anywhere as long as they're together, like in your picture?

I messed around with the layout you posted to try to recreate it and see if I could fix your problem. All the layouts from the pictures below work for me with no issue. That is, whenever I click on a LN number, it always goes to the LN resource, regardless of where the tab is. And the same goes for the NA27, all greek words go to it regardless of where the NA27 tab is. I only have Advanced Prioritization set up. I don't know if this is your problem or not though...

So it sends it to the last used resource of the two, or to the one that is specifically marked as "Send Hyperlinks Here" with the little red circle. Advanced priority cannot fix this. The issue is having two of the exact same resource open.

Yeah, unfortunately, both volumes are apart of the same resource however. Because of that, it is impossible to get Logos to differentiate between the two and have them perform different functions right now. You can easily have one BDAG and one LN Lexicon and have all greek be sent to the one BDAG and all LN numbers be sent to the one LN Lexicon. But you can't have two LN Lexicon resources open that each redirect to a different place in the resource consistently every time. The redirection becomes based on which one you used last.

I have replaced LN Lexicon Volume 2 with Lexham Analytical Lexicon GNT, thus removing the ambiguity. I was blinded by insisting to use LN Volume 2, and missed what KS4J's point on using Lexham Analytical Lexicon earlier, until you mention it here again. Thank You.
