annoyed.

I think I've given enough money to Logos to expect that the program will not stop responding merely because I scrolled down in a book, or to have the program crash six times in a half an hour due to some runtime error (R6025). Grrrr.

As far as I can tell this has not been reported before on stable version, only on the beta. Are you running the beta or stable version? What version are you using?
I also saw this, the main reasons for the error:
- Apparently the number one cause for this error is malware
- Second cause is outdated / defective system device drivers
- And third offering is a damaged registry.
You may want to post some logs of your system, what you were doing at the time etc. if you would like some help in diagnosis.

I am not running the Beta.
I am reasonably sure I have no malware (I just did a clean install of Windows).
I do not know how to check my registry for damage.
I do not know where to get logs.

You may want to look around the Logo Wiki at wiki.logos.com, there is a ton of useful information there.
As for posting logs of your system running Logos, instructions are here -- http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging
Note it states you must turn on logging, then once you encounter the/an error, following the instructions to upload the logs. Then experts can view the logs to determine what is happening.

I had a similar issue in a certain book. The issue only happened when I used the center-click scroll method. If I used the space bar, or page down (to get to the next screen of info), the mouse wheel, or the scroll bar on the side of the window, no problem.
Tech support looked at my issue and was unable to determine a cause (they're still investigating). If this sounds like your issue, you may want to just use one of the other methods until Logos can figure this out.(BTW, I've got Win764 and I'm using a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 and the Intellipoint software/hardware interface).
If this isn't your issue, by all means, upload your logs and someone can have a look at them. Please be sure to read the logging instructions (in the Wiki) carefully and upload all your logs before you restart Logos.
