Look up Hebrew words in lexicons

After digging through previous posts and probably overlooking the answer, here is a newbie setup question.

To look up a Hebrew word in DBL Hebrew or TWOT, I paste the word into the search field and click the blue "search now" arrow.

Instead of searching for this word, the search field reverts to its previous value and shows the previous search result.

If you would show me what I'm doing wrong, I'd sure appreciate it.

Yes I could, eventually. <grin> That's why I'd really like for the search feature to work for me.

To look up a Hebrew word in DBL Hebrew or TWOT, I paste the word into the search field and click the blue "search now" arrow.

There are numerous other ways to do this, most of them faster:

Double-click on the word in the text (making sure to have your favourite lexicon prioritized).
Right-click on the word in the text, choose lemma in the right column, and then the lexicon you want in the left column. (Again making sure you have prioritized your lexicons in the order you want them to show up.)
Use the Information panel.
Use the Power Lookup.
In Search you can type h: with a transliteration (e g h:davar), and then choose the word you want from the dropdown, but I don't remember right now if transliterations work in lexicons. I would imagine they do.
Switch to a Hebrew keyboard, start typing, and choose the word from the dropdown.
Use the TOC.

(I hope I didn't make too many errors in that, given that I had to do it from memory. I have too little free RAM to open Logos right now.)

The most common reason that happens is because you've entered something that 'doesn't exist'. My guess would be that you've pasted an inflected form, which would only work in an analytical lexicon. For a normal one, you need the lemma.

Come back if something doesn't seem to work. Like I said, I did it from memory, and some of those alternatives I rarely or never use myself.
