Reference hyperlinks in Note File

Hey All,

Maybe this has already been dealt with in another topic but here goes...

I have been learning in Camp Logos 2 about how to create note files including reference texts that are hyperlinked. It is supposed to be as easy as typing the reference and then it turns into a hyperlink. Will, it does not seem to work for me...here is a copy of my file and you will notice that the Jonah 4: 4,9 reference did not change to a hyperlink...am I doing something wrong? I am using... Logos Bible Software 4.5c SR-1 (4.53.0.2270)

Welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately, that's one of many things that only works in Windows, not on Mac. You will have to:

Type Jonah 4:4,9 in the note.
Select Jonah 4:4.
Click on the hyperlink (chain) icon.
Type Jon 4:4 in the hyperlink box and hit enter.
Select 9.
Click on the hyperlink icon again.
Type Jon 4:9 in the hyperlink box and hit enter.

Wiki has => Feature Parity that includes:

PC Notes can automatically hyperlink scripture in notes while hyperlink can be manually added on Mac

Logos: We presently use operating system controls for rich text editing on each platform. The functionality is not the same on each, and we are unable to hook in at a low level to enable all the desired features on the Mac platform. Our long term plan is to replace the OS provided rich text editor with our own component, but until then we are unlikely to be able to advance the text editing features beyond their current state.

I had forgotten this had to do with the rich text editor. And they've said they're now actively working on replacing it with their own, haven't they? So perhaps this will finally be fixed in 4.6 at the latest?

Personally have no idea how soon for long term rich text editor implementation in Logos, which hopefully improves Notes usability on Mac and PC (especially for a number of Logos users with verbose notes).
