Compatibility Issues with Snow Leopard 10.6.2 ?

Is anyone have issues with L4 and Snow Leopard 10.6.2? I just can't seem to get it to work. I mount the application and I can see it working in Forced Quit for about 1 second, but that's it. It isn't even getting to the point where it asks me to log in, never mind indexing.

It works fine for me (has been since Alpha 2) and I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2. Just curious, but when you say you mount the application, have you actually copied it to your applications folder and launched it from there? Or are you launching it from the mounted .dmg file?

It works for me. The problems are because it is Alpha software.

Thanks for your feedback. I have dragged it to the Application Folder and tried to launch it from there. I have also tried to launch it from the .dmg file. It's frustrating to hear others are okay with it and not having any explanation why I can't.

Stephen, have you followed the instructions for reporting bugs? Providing your logs is the only way the developers can answer your question.

Good point. I will report the bugs, but I am not sure if I can provide a log; the program never actual starts, so I am not sure where to look for the log.

Others have had an issue in past Alphas, so the logs may still be there.

I had it working, but it stopped about five days ago and has been dead in the water. What I am going to do is give it a few weeks before I jump back in and try testing it again. I'll probably wipe it completely off my computer and try again from scratch.

That sounds like the most sensible plan. I guess I will just keep up with the new releases and try each one as they come out. It should work eventually.

I don't mind testing and posting logs, but if the thing won't run at all, there's no point in fighting it... especially since the product is not supported, therefore you get no feedback on how to fix the problem. I've wasted too much time already on it trying various things to try to get it to run and it's time to move on. In fact, unless it looks like it will run without falling over before you try to do anything, I am tempted to wait until it goes Beta. Then again, my weakness and curiosity which provokes me to have a play will probably get the best of me and I'll play with the Alpha version again. [:O]

I have finally been able to get it started with the latest version.
Indexing now, which is slow, but better than just a bouncing icon.
