Audio Quality for uploaded Videos

So far, any video we upload with audio other than basic speech sounds like a very low bitrate (music sounds awful) some of our older attenders complain about the wishy washy sound (from high compression) hurts their ears.  Other than keeping the video local (which negates the whole "cloud" aspect of proclaim) has there been any further research into fixing this issue?

I saw a few posts on this back in April(?)  and I believe an engineer stated the problem was with the service provider's transcode settings.  Perhaps we can have some kind of check box to enable a "higher quality" mode for a video, especially if it's under 10 minutes?

That is a good suggestion! I'd encourage you to post it on our Uservoice page http://proclaim.uservoice.com

The audio quality for me, even when using local file, is horrible... I am not understanding how if I play the file with quicktime or vlc on the same computer and quality is stellar why the quality changes when doing local file? Is there a 'better' codec(s) that the file should be in for proclaim to operate optimally for video and/or audio quality? (ie ffmpeg vs h.264 / AAC vs mp3)

any update for the audio quality issues? Our leadership is wary of continued use if this doesn't get fixed soon. I have gone to pretty much using local files in hopes of better experieance, but the low bit rate, digitized noise is so distracting.

I love the product, the aggressive updates to add functions, but quality and consistency is lacking...
