"Presenter Window" messing me up!

I have been using Proclaim for a few months and never, until today, did a "presenter" window open up. It was huge. If I closed it, the "ON AIR" button went out. But with it open I could not see behind it to use the regular Proclaim screen with the service lined up along the left.I would like to know how to disable the presenter window.

At the same time, tonight my computer would not recognize the display projector that it is hooked up to, and that has worked fine in the past. Just to troubleshoot, I hooked the projector cable up to a laptop and it worked fine. But the iMac with Proclaim would no longer recognize the monitor.

What am I doing wrong? I need an answer in time for Sunday's services!

HI JudyThe first thing that you need to sort out is the projector / computer problem. This is unlikely to be proclaim related - as you have seen the 'presentation window' and the 'control window' appear on the same screen when there is no recognised second monitor or projector.

On the iMac the first thing to do is to check the 'display preferences' they need to be something like this...

Once you have that set up, (note Mirror Displays is not ticked) and your back drop is projected on both screens, you can launch Proclaim.

If the presentation window opens on the computer rather than on the projector you need to drag it across and then use the 'Full Screen' setting.

Next problem: how do I kill the annoying clock on the upper right of the projection screen? I have never seen it until now.

If you have the box ticked to show a countdown clock (option viewable in edit mode) untick it.

To prevent the clock appearing in the first place - don't tick the box.

You will also want to be sure to set the correct presentation time and date in the application for that presentation.
