iPad cases with Logos in mind

Thanks for the suggestions. I ordered this one from Amazon: The Ridge by Devicewear.
I ordered that one too. Just got it yesterday, and I think it's great. ( I got the blue one. It's a deep navy blue, darker than the pictures suggest, almost black. I like it a lot.)
The hard shell fits perfectly and the the wrap-around faux-leather gives a slight padding to the back and the front. I also like how flat the cover folds around the back (without bulging) when I'm holding it. The angle of the stand in vertical mode is much better for viewing at a desk then the angle that the Apple smart cover gives, plus it's more secure. The typing mode angle is also good and has the benefit of not having the inside of the front cover touch the table when set up.
The only thing The Ridge doesn't have is a portrait stand. Devicewear make another case that has a swivel: the Detour 360, but its typing angle is poorly supported (and bouncy) and it's thicker than the Ridge. So I opted for The Ridge.

Todd, thanks for the confirmation. I looked seriously at the Detour 360 and chose the Ridge for the same reasons as you. Plus, I wasn't real enamored with the 360's swivel opening that revealed the Apple logo and would possibly (probably?) allow dust or grit or whatever to enter and get between the case and the back of the iPad.

I ordered this one
.If you happen to remember after you have used it a little, let us know what you think of it. Thanks.
The Devicewear Ridge case came in yesterday. It looks like it will do as advertised. It's light and thin and appears to offer an adequate amount of protection. My take on it concide's with Todd's. It's a very good and inexpensive case.

I bought a case from Targus and roocase and was goign to keep the one I
liked better. Neither case worked (though both descriptions said they
would).0 -
Cases-I went with, thin and lightweight. A good choice for my use... I didn't want to carry a keyboard each time, but others love that. I use a notebook and Logos 4 for study... My iPad for on the go reading and quick bible study. So, I went with moko iPad 3 case from amazon for less than 20.00. Functional, attractive, but light and easy to carry. Amazon had it.

I have an iPad2 and have gone through a few covers/cases to find the right one. For my use I have found that the Apple magnetic cover is about as simple as you can get. If a keybord is of interest check out touchfire.com for their silicon iPad keyboard overlay that actually makes the iPad's keyboard useful.

I've reported the spam poster.
BTW, for full disclosure, I returned the iPad. I just wasn't $600-worth-of-happy with it. The fonts are great, its capabilities are great, its portability is great, but I just wasn't using it much. I was using it for little more than a glorified e-reader.

Same here - no case, Logitech Ultrathin keyboard/cover. I have found this to be the best combination overall.

Why do you say this is SPAM?! I am a registered LOGOS user. I use it on my desktop, laptop, iPad and iPhone. I use an Apple magnetic cover and hate the on-screen keyboard. The touchfire overlay makes it usable (although a bit pricey).
Accept my apology for being a first time poster - guess this is a closed club - Geeeeez!

The spam post was deleted. It was after yours, but before IntoGrace's. Now it just looks like he was talking about you, but he wasn't.
Thanks for mentioning the touchfire. I'll have to keep that one in mind. It does seem pricey for what it is though.

No Mike, not yours! I should have quoted the post so its deletion did not point the finger at you. I'm sorry about that.
And welcome to the forums. About the only restriction is real spam. [;)]

Todd and Bill - thanks for clearing that up. It would be nice if SPAM, etc. could be tagged while leaving an indication that it was removed. It might prevent idiots like me from jumping to conclusions! [:$]

It's certainly not your fault, Mike. We should have quoted the spam so there would have been no confusion. Looking forward to seeing you around the forums.
