Update every time I open Proclaim?

Every time I open the program, it tells me there is a new version available and that it has to be downloaded. Don't get it. A bit time consuming as well. 

 

An idea?

    Hi Reid

    Proclaim is a fast developing program and updates and bug fixes come thick and fast.

    However you do not need to update every time - the program you have will work the way it always has and as the updater replaces the whole program (no concept of incrementalisation) you need not worry about skipping a version.

    I always allow a couple of minutes to upgrade the version before starting work. Facebook seems to swallow the time nicely.

    We shipped Multimonitor support on Tuesday which was a large feature. Unfortunately in this we also introduced two critical bugs. To address the bugs we ended up shipping fixes on Wednesday (for Windows only) and Thursday. It isn't normal for us to ship three times in a week but the bugs needed to be addressed.

    As Mike pointed out most updates are not required and can be skipped. It is advisable to skip an update if you are not experiencing any problems and are about to go on air.
