BUG - Unable to connect to groups service.

Greetings,

I downloaded and installed Proclaim on my Windows 7 Home Premium (SP1, 64 bit) laptop today and signed into Proclaim with my Logos.com account that I created today. However, every time I try to join a group (any group) or make a new group, an error message appears saying: "Unable to connect to groups service."

The following are the logs under the "Proclaim Log Files" on my laptop.

2465.ProclaimError.log

[I know Proclaim's website says that Windows XP SP3 and later are supported, but after encountering this problem, I downloaded and installed Proclaim on a Windows XP SP2 machine today (without realizing it was XP SP2). Anyway, I did sign into Proclaim on that computer using my same Logos.com account, and I encountered the exact same problem.]

I have been unable to reproduce those results, but I do see a very clear log.

I understand that you're running behind a proxy server, which may be the cause of this issue.

FYI: My boss tells me that our proxy server is not unlike proxy server's that churches, or Christian schools may use.

It looks like the proxy is blocking all connections to http://proclaimservices.logos.com
and http:// touchpointslog.logos.com.

You may have to allow the hosts to pass
through the proxy.

See if your IT person can do that and if that resolves your issue.

Thank you for your assistance again.

I am happy to say that my boss has figured out what the specific problem was.

It's complicated, but he figured out how to by-pass it, and we are now able to connect to the group service and use Proclaim.
