Wow, how exciting! Now available in softcover! Who cares? This is an e-book.

I was hoping that I would get a softcover for my phone.

Unfortunately, this happens frequently. The copy comes straight from the publisher and apparently, these things are not checked extremely carefully.

I'm sure they don't want to pay someone to carefully proofread all the copy that comes from the publisher. But there should at least be a quick search to see if the words paperback, hardcover, or softcover appear in the text and remove all references to those. Other typos and errors can be overlooked, but it's pretty embarrassing for a company whose primary revenue stream comes from selling digital books to be advertising "now available in affordable softcover."

I think the publishers deserve some blame for not changing their blurb when releasing it as an ebook. I agree it is embarrassing for Logos, especially when the blurb is emphasising the benefits of the print edition being sold at that time - whether inexpensive softcover or long lasting hardcover. A search for such terms reveals dozens of books have this problem.

I think on the whole it shows the lack of a desire for excellence on the part of publishers (and Logos) when it comes to ebooks. Print books are never (seldom?) treated in such a cavalier manner. Of course we can't get dozens of them for free either! :)

FYI... no other place that I looked for this ebook has this blurb - only Logos.

I think the irrelevant copy in this case would be the text of the book. It's Barna.

    But that's just my opinion.

Thanks for making us aware of the mistake in the copy! We apologize for the mistake, and appreciate your patience as we work to improve the copy we receive from publishers. Thanks again for making us aware!
