I would be using a mac laptop and a sony vaio laptop. Would they work together with proclaim?

They will work independently.
That which you download from Logos servers will run on a windows operating system or an OS X system. You can upload anything from either system from Proclaim to the Logos servers and it will be available to any group members running either system once the transfer is complete.
