4.6a Beta 2 WIN: Download to device removal

I had a Droid 4 which had Faithlife,
Logos and Vyrso installed. That phone died and was replaced by another Droid 4 which only has Logos. Both phones appear in the "Download to" seciton of resources in Windows Logos 4.
- How can I remove the old phone from the list?
- If I did have two of the same device type, can the device names be changed to identify specific devices?

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this currently. I will create a case for Development to consider the issue.

This would depend on your device. On iOS, for example, you can change your device name in Settings. For Android, there is an active case for using a more 'human readable' name ('Samsung Galaxy Tab' rather than 'Samsung GT-P7510'), but to be more specific than that you would need to find a way to rename your device from the mobile OS.
I couldn't find a consistent way to do this for Android, though some Google results on the topic indicate that some devices will have the ability to change the device name here: Settings>Applications>Development>Device hostname
(None of the test devices nearby have that capability, so I can't verify whether that would work in this case.)0 -
I have the same issue. I had to do a wipe of my Asus Transformer TF101. When I reinstalled Logos on my Transformer it showed up in Logos Desktop as a new Transformer... now I have two... or at least Logos Desktop thinks I have two Transformers.

Does anyone know if this has been fixed yet? My Nexus 7 died and has been replaced so now I have 2 identical entries for Nexus 7. Under Android v 4.3 I cannot find an option to change the host name there which I could find in earlier versions.

You do it from https://www.logos.com/account/devices, which is the page you reach when you click Manage Mobile Devices, which in recent versions of Logos is just out of shot at the bottom of area in the first screenshot.
When you have two identically named devices, working out which device you should delete, and which you should keep, is another matter of course...
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

It should be straightforward as one device has 3 apps, and the other has one app. But if things really got muddled then remove both devices and upload a resource to the current one to re-establish the device.

Thanks gentlemen.
Could not have been made easier. The new one only had Logos loaded where the old one had Faithlife as well which made it easy to sort. The facility to rename - I had not noticed it before - will be useful in future. I have already re-named my replacement one the Nexus 7 (2012) to prevent confusion next time. That should ensure that this one will not die hence there will be no next time!!
