import power point tab missing on "Add Item" panel

He suggested that I try the forum to see if there is a solution to my problem: The import power point tab is missing on "Add Item" panel.

Hello Don,

I am able to see the "Import Powerpoint" option in my Proclaim program on both the Mac and Windows platforms. Keep in mind that it is a link, rather than a menu item with an icon like the other service items.

Can you tell me which operating system you are using, and which version of the application you are using? You can find the version number by going to "Help > About Proclaim". The latest version is 1.07.0.0197.

Have you been able to see the Import Powerpoint option on the menu before? When did it first go missing?

I have this problem on my netbook, because the screen is too short to display the whole menu. Can you use the keyboard shortcut- I think it's Ctrl+Shift+P?

Yes, the shortcut is Ctrl + Shift + P.

Proclaim is up to date.... hp laptop, Windows Vista... ctrl-shift-p brings up 'hp battery check" and not "PowerPoint".... what to do?

Hello Don,

HP does "hijack" certain shortcut keys for things like the HP Battery Check. This is easy to disable, you can find instructions here: http://cybertext.wordpress.com/2009/09/01/change-the-keyboard-shortcut-for-an-application/

Just delete the shortcut key that the HP Battery Check has in order to set it to "None". After that, you should be able to use Ctrl+Shift+P again in Proclaim.
